Wolseley and Ideal Boilers have launched a social media competition designed to give heating and plumbing apprentices a boost as they embark on their careers.

The lucky winners will receive a full set of Axinite workwear, a selection of Raptor tools and a Makita Jobsite Bluetooth speaker.

Richard Harvey, Category Director for Heating at Wolseley, said: “Apprenticeships are a cornerstone of our industry and many successful plumbing and heating businesses have apprentices at the heart of the great work they do.

“Sometimes the hard work of apprentices can be overlooked, so we are looking to reward them for the effort they put in.”

To enter, apprentices must follow @WolseleyUK and @Ideal_Boilers, and then tweet a photo of their best work for the month, along with a sentence about why they think they should win and the hashtag #ApprenticeGiveaway.

Luke Pykett, Head of Marketing at Ideal Boilers, said: “We’re proud to have been at the forefront of innovation in our industry for more than 100 years – but we couldn’t do it without continuing to invest in the next generation of talent.

“We look forward to judging the competition entries, and giving a well-deserved reward to those apprentices who are as committed to excellence as we are.”
