Staff at Covers in Portsmouth have donned an array of different hats in aid of charity.

The independent timber and builders’ merchant raised £50 on behalf of Brain Tumour Research during its annual Wear a Hat Day.

Brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 compared to any other cancer and can affect anyone at any age. Brain Tumour Research dedicates its work to finding a cure for this deadly disease.

Dale Lambourne, Depot Manager at Covers Portsmouth, said: “At Covers we are always keen to support charities in any way we can.

“Taking part in events like Wear a Hat Day allows us to raise money to support worthy causes like Brain Tumour Research and have a bit of fun at the same time.

“We hope our donation will go some way towards helping the charity to continue its vital work.”
