W. Howard has appointed Phil Tissington as its new Group Operations Director (UK).

Tissington takes responsibility for UK operations covering health and safety, quality, manufacturing, warehousing and logistics. He has many years of experience in the UK manufacturing and production sector, and before joining W. Howard he spent four years as Operations Director at Renold Gears, a manufacturer of chain, gears and couplings, also based in Manchester. He has also undertaken production roles at NOV Mono and Minky Homecare Products.

He said: “I am excited to join a company which is showing continual growth and investment in its future. All my previous roles have been in the engineering industry, so I am looking forward to both learning about a completely different industry, and also bringing the experience I have gained from those previous roles to W. Howard.

“I am also looking forward to working with the teams to improve all aspects of customer service, from delivery performance and quality, enhancing the overall customer experience.”

Group Managing Director Graham Williams added: “This is a new role for the business, which we have introduced as a result of our strong growth to date. I am delighted to welcome Phil to W. Howard and believe his knowledge and experience will be invaluable to the company as we continue to develop and expand.”
