MKM Hartlepool is thanking its customers, staff and local community after its 2018 ‘Gift a Gift’ collection topped previous years.

A staggering 800 gifts and 30 food hampers were donated to people in need.

Now the festive season has passed, the team has been able to reflect on the huge outpouring of support and the regional impact of such generosity.

Backed by the Hartlepool Mail, Mick Sumpter, Branch Director at MKM Hartlepool, opened his doors to drive the collection for gifts and donations which were distributed among a range of charities and organisations.

These included: Harbour refuge, Parents in Need of Support; West View Project; St Aidan’s Primary School; Stranton Academy; Hartlepool Carers; North East Specialist Therapeutic Service and Humankind Charity.

Mick Sumpter, Branch Director at MKM Hartlepool, said: “It has been a record year for support of the ‘Give a Gift’ campaign and we’re once again so proud to be part of this drive.

“MKM works very closely with the community and knowing our customers are willing to stand with us and give back is really heart-warming.”
