Builders’ merchant Huws Gray has announced a pair of acquisitions to add to its branch network.

The two new branches are North-West based Southport Timber, and Wheelers Timber and Builders Merchant based in Erdington, north Birmingham.

It has been a busy year for Huws Gray as the company expanded to new regions with acquisitions in Cumbria and Lancashire.

Huws Gray says 2018 was the right time to embrace a fresh approach and plan for the future to create opportunities for the business and its employees. It also said it anticipates making further announcements this year.

Managing Director Terry Owen said: “These latest acquisitions of well-known and respected companies in the industry are a perfect fit for us to strengthen and expand our branch network.

“We are looking forward to working alongside the existing teams and investing in both sites by enhancing the stock offering and refurbishing the shop and yard area.

“There have been many milestones in our 28 years in business, and 2018 is certainly one of them.”
