Roofing and building contractors in Essex can now benefit from a one-stop-shop for all of their roofing needs following a major refurbishment.

Sig Roofing’s Southend-on-Sea branch has been renovated, and has a brand new 80m² shop floor.

The old branch had just a trade counter with a small display area, but now the space on the shop floor allows the roofing merchant to show customers its full product range.

To celebrate the reopening, Branch Manager David Platt and his eight-strong team hosted an open day, with local contractors invited to see the new branch and chat to the staff over a cup of tea and a bacon buttie.

There were also exclusive offers available, plus giveaways with prizes including spirit levels, junior saws, branded t-shirts and baseball caps.

Platt said: “I’m delighted to officially open our doors. The branch has been completely transformed, with the new shop floor giving us the opportunity to display more stock and give our customers a better feel for the extensive range of products we have available.

“The building industry is a people business, so we wanted to give something back by holding a special grand opening event to thank people for their ongoing support.”
