The British Pump Manufacturers Association has appointed a new Technical Services Officer.

Gary Wilde will be taking on the role, bringing with him 30 years’ industry experience.

Wilde worked at water technology provider Xylem in both the UK and Italy, and has served more than ten years on the BPMA’s Circulator Pumps Committee.

Wilde’s new role will initially be to manage a number of special projects at the BPMA, and ultimately expand to encompass the majority of technical functions in the organisation.

He said: “I’m delighted to be joining the BPMA, an organisation I have admired and had the pleasure of working alongside for many years. My role is to support the pump industry and ensure that its voice is heard on all and any technical matters. I’m looking forward to meeting the BPMA membership, many of whom are old friends and colleagues, in the coming weeks and months.”

Steve Schofield, Director and CEO at the BPMA, said: “We are delighted to be welcoming Gary into the team here at the BPMA. He has been a longstanding supporter of the Association, having engaged with us extensively whilst working for Xylem here in the UK.

“He brings a wealth of experience to the new role of Technical Services Officer, which I feel sure will serve both him and our growing membership very well indeed.”
