The Independent Plumbing Group (IPG) has welcomed two new members - Carman Heating Supplies and Unique Plumbing Supplies.

Working largely with trade customers but having a retail sector too, Unique Plumbing Supplies’ focus is on expansion. The company has recently opened a new branch and aims to open a further five branches over the next five years, bringing its number to 11.

"Service is a priority for us," said Adam Kill of Unique Plumbing Supplies. "We need a reliable service to keep our customers happy. For us price needs to be competitive but we would rather be able to deliver on time without any problems."

Carman Heating Supplies, meanwhile, has a customer base made up of small plumbing and heating contractors, small developers and DIYers. The company is looking to progress and make its popular showroom even busier.

The IPG works closely with its broad network of suppliers to negotiate deals, which ensure lower prices, lower minimum orders, group offers and improved terms for merchants, allowing them to provide excellent service and compete with the nationals.

Robin Beal, managing director of The IPG, welcomed both merchants to the group. He said: "Our strong relationships with suppliers mean we can really help our independent members provide a great service and compete in the wider market."
