The former product manager of one of Australia's top consumer brands has joined independent UK timber supplier Arbor Forest Products.
Sarah Francis has arrived at Arbor Forest Products to take up the role of category manager for timber and composite decking, having spent the last four years at appliance specialist Sunbeam in Sydney, Australia.
Arbor Forest Products supplies more than 300,000m3 of timber to the UK building, DIY and construction trades, and Ms Francis will be in charge of determining the future strategy of one of the company's flagship products: Trex composite decking.
She will work with Arbor Forest Products's customers, installers and suppliers to raise awareness of the qualities and benefits of Trex, and implement activities to build on the outstanding UK growth that the product has enjoyed in the last 12 months.
Ms Francis said: "I have more than 10 years of experience in product and brand management, and I am very excited by the challenge ahead of me at Arbor Forest Products.
"Trex is the world's number one decking brand and I want to ensure we replicate that position in the UK by capitalising on the recent growth of composite decking here.”
