The Jewson Contractor Sales team have donned their trainers to walk the London Marathon Route for Macmillan Cancer Support.

The 24-strong team pounded the pavements of the 26.2 mile route, helping to raise over £6,000 for the charity.

"Macmillan's support is absolutely vital to those with cancer and their families, so we were more than happy to put on our walking shoes and put up with a few blisters for such a great cause," said David Hill, event organiser at Jewson.

The money raised by the Contractor Sales team will be used to help fund Macmillan nurses.

Jewson parent company Saint-Gobain is supporting Macmillan Cancer Support as part of a two-year partnership that started in 2014. During the campaign, Saint-Gobain has helped the charity engage with hard to reach groups on issues including male cancer and sun awareness.
