The Mayor of Pendle, Councillor Nawaz Ahmed, officially opened the new kitchen and bathroom showroom at Plumbase Colne.

At the heart of the 3,000sq ft showroom is a fully working kitchen, specially designed to offer cookery demonstrations with the latest steam ovens, induction hobs and Quooker boiling water tap.

It is complemented by a range of designs and accessories so that customers can mix and match to suit their own taste and style. More than 20 bathroom bays showcase the latest designs including a variety of wetrooms and showers.

Plumbase Colne was formerly Boundary Bathrooms, which was acquired by the national merchant in January. It is one of several new showroom concepts that is being rolled out across the UK this year, combining Plumbase’s expertise with leading manufacturers. The concept is designed to encourage tradepeople to take their customers along so that they can choose for themselves from the products available.

Helen Seed, Plumbase’s showroom manager, who helped to design the showroom in Colne, said: “The old site was dated and in need of a revamp. So as well as rebranding we have invested in a new layout and design to bring it up to date. We have a huge range of designs to suit all tastes and budgets with some of the latest technology, so it’s fantastic to be able to showcase them in the best possible light.

“The new showroom is beautifully designed so that tradespeople can be confident in bringing their customers along. Consumers are welcome on their own too. We can also offer design services and home visits as well as introduce them to a reliable local builder or plumber.”
