The Worshipful Company of Builders’ Merchants (WcoBM) recently hosted its fourth City & Awards luncheon at Vintners’ Hall in London.

The luncheon recognises individual achievement both in the industry and within organisations the Company supports through training and education. It is also an opportunity for Liverymen, Freemen and their guests to meet senior industry and City figures.

Alderman and sheriff Dr Andrew Parmley was the guest of honour, meeting members for lunch before the presentation of awards.

The event awarded Builders Merchants Federation (BMF) student Robert Foden, of Builders Supplies (West Coast), £500 for the ‘Top Achiever for the BMF Online Training Module’. Mr Foden was judged the most diligent BMF online learner, with the highest number of courses completed and the highest average score.

Dr Parmley also presented prizes to the ‘Best Soldier’ and the ‘Best Recruit’ of the 3rd Battalion The Princess of Wales’s Royal Regiment. He acknowledged the WCoBM’s support for the Beckenham & Penge Sea Cadet Corps, the Guildhall School of Music & Drama and the City & Guilds of London Art School.
