Covers Timber and Builders Merchants proudly took part in the ‘Wear it Green’ day for The Aldingbourne Trust on Friday 27 February.

The local charity is dedicated to helping local businesses, communities and people with learning difficulties to reach their potential and enjoy life together.

Staff at Covers’ Chichester branch all turned up to work wearing as many items of green clothing and accessories as possible. They also baked green cakes, which they sold to their customers for extra funds, and raised a total of £200 over the course of the day.

Henry Green, managing director for Covers, said: “We have strong family values at Covers, and like to get involved with local charities where possible. The Aldingbourne Trust does excellent work for people with learning disabilities and local businesses, helping to bring the community together.”

Abigail Rowe, corporate fundraiser for the charity, added: “We provide many services for people with learning difficulties, such as finding employment, support within employment both to the individual and the company, housing, creative arts and training. We are really appreciative of any support and would like to thank Covers for their generous donation from their Wear it Green day.”
