Kingspan Environmental has announced the appointment of Neil Overton as trade sales director for Great Britain.

Mr Overton is heading up a team of UK-wide area sales managers overseeing Kingspan’s product portfolio of hot water cylinders, solar thermal evacuated tube collectors and flat plate options (in-roof or on-roof), plus air source heat pumps.

His immediate focus is around building a strong trade team with the imminent launch of some exciting new products in the renewables and cylinders range. He is also spearheading a new campaign which puts an increased focus on relations with small and medium sized installers.

Mr Overton explained: “This is a fantastic time to be joining Kingspan with the levels of planned investment in the sector, as well as its whole-hearted commitment to all of its renewable energy and cylinder trade partners.

“We have established a strong position with merchants and major contractors; we’re now adding to this with an extra focus on our smaller, over the counter customers, not least to make the great services we offer them much more visible, such as extended warranties, training and technical back-up.”

In September, a major promotion called Win with Albion was launched, targeting installers. The £20,000 giveaway generated considerable interest and awareness, as well as increased traffic to merchant branches. A new monthly e-Newsletter was also created and sent out to around 100,000 installers offering detailed advice and information about the sector.

Commenting on the e-Newsletter, Mr Overton, said: “It’s been a great success with high opening rates so we’re now planning to expand on it by offering more opportunities for partner feedback. This will include our new ‘Installers Club’ initiative which will help partners with technical awareness and market updates.”
