ROWLANDS CASTLE: Travis Perkins has been approached by developers to sell its much complained about Redhill Road site for housing said local councillor Marge Harvey.

Local residents complain about vehicle movements to and from the site and are keen to see a change of use.

David Manning, a spokesman for Travis Perkins, said it was business as usual at the site, which includes Keyline Builders' Merchants and distribution centre CCF.

He said: "There has been ongoing debate for a few years in the local area about development on that site. It's still just that. It's still discussion. We have not had any firm commitments or anything.

"There's a company that has come in and would like to take it on. That's why the public meeting is going to take place."

A public consultation has been arranged on Thursday, December 9 at St John the Baptist Church in Rowlands Castle.
