John Newcomb, BMF Chief Executive Officer, said: “It has been a truly exciting process to consider the nominations for the Top 100 Young Achievers and discover how much they have already achieved in their careers.

“This month, we are delighted to shine a spotlight on the second group of 25 selected for this honour. Clearly, the future of our industry will be safe in their hands. I look forward to congratulating them in person at our Gala Event in May.”

Lucyanne Matthews, BMN’s Associate Publisher, added: “I’m excited to reveal the next 25 Top 100 Young Achievers.

“It’s really uplifting to see so much passion for the industry in the young people who have put themselves forward or been nominated by their peers. The calibre is superb, and it’s been a very difficult process to just choose 100 from all the nominations we have received.

“It’s a testament to the excellent quality of the individuals who are forging their careers in our industry.
“We are proud to work in coalition with the BMF and looking forward to celebrating with all those young individuals in May.”

BMN and BMF called for the hidden gems who keep surpassing all expectations to put their heads above the parapet.

As well as being able to nominate themselves, any member of their team could put forward the young achiever whom they believed was most deserving of special recognition.

Nominees had to be 40 or under on 16 May 2024 and from across the building materials industry – be it a merchant, supplier, service supplier or buying group.

To qualify the following questions had to be answered:

  • Why are you/is the nominee such a good candidate for this award?
  • What are your/their top achievements?
  • What positive impact did the results have on the business?
  • What other significant achievement have you/they completed throughout their career?

The Top 100 will all receive a prestigious trophy at the gala black tie event at The Belfry, in Sutton Coldfield, on 16 May 2024.
