BMN and BMF want to shine the spotlight on the young unsung heroes across the builders' merchants sector. Anyone can self nominate or have their name put forward to be on the list. The deadline is 31 December 2023.

Builders Merchants News and Builders Merchants Federation have teamed up to launch The Top 100 Young Achievers, which will celebrate the achievements of the younger generation across the builders’ merchant sector.

Following on from the success of the Top 100 Merchant Influencer and Top 100 Supplier Influencer events in 2022 and 2023 attention is now focused on those who are the future of the industry.

With the help of main sponsor NMBS, BMN and BMF are looking for the best up and coming members of the industry who go above and beyond in their day-to-day role - the hidden gems who keep reaching new heights, yet never take a moment for themselves.

As well as being able to nominate yourself, any member of your team can nominate a young achiever that they see as deserving of recognition.  

The deadline for nominations is midnight on the 31 December but before you pop the champagne in the new year, why not give the gift of recognition?

Nominations are anonymous (unless you are choosing to nominate yourself) which only adds to the surprise.

To be chosen by your colleagues as someone who is looking to make a difference and deserve recognition could provide their greatest gift this Christmas.

Nominees must be 40 or under on 16 May 2024 from across the building materials industry; this can be a merchant, supplier, service supplier or from a buying group.

So how to do you nominate?

Firstly, consider the following questions:

  • Why are you/is the nominee such a good candidate for this award?
  • What are your/their top achievements?
  • What positive impact did the results have on the business?
  • What other significant achievement have you/they completed throughout their career?

Once you have considered why you, or the member of your team, has excelled in these areas, head to BMN's website and fill in a short, four step form and submit. Simple.

All nominations will be put forward to an esteemed panel and the successful 100 will be highlighted by both BMN and the BMF in the months leading up to a special gala black tie event at The Belfry, Sutton Coldfield, on 16 May 2024 to recognise everybody on the list.
