WIRKSWORTH: Landscaping and construction products specialist TDP is sponsoring a local football team in Derbyshire, the Under 18 Wirksworth Colts, with a brand new kit which echoes the distinctive look of the world-famous Brazilian side.
TDP has already supported the same team for over eight years, beginning its association at the Under 9 stage, and is committed to a further two years.
The Under 18s team sponsored by TDP is just one of twenty six youth football teams run by the Wirksworth Colts, which range from Under 8s to Under 18s and cater for boys and girls. For a small town of around 7000 inhabitants this makes up around 5% of the population!
Rob Barlow, managing director of TDP said, “We are celebrating our 20th anniversary and have been based in Wirksworth for the last 12 years. As a local company we like to give our support to community activities. Youth football teams are a big part of life in the town so it is great to be at the heart of it."
