They are now looking to appoint a Sales Director to lead the growth of their business in the South West and Wales regions.   

The Role:

This role requires a professional and highly experienced sales leader with the ability to maintain and grow an existing customer portfolio as well as identifying and capitalising on growth opportunities across the region through the implementation of a sales strategy.  

Some of the duties involve:

  • Managing existing customer relationships along with developing and implementing a strategy for fast growth across the region
  • Facilitate the development of new business- Targeting primarily contractors, specialist Sub-Contractors and house builders
  • Introduce key initiative products
  • Delivering excellent customer service and communication
  • Lead and mentor a small field sales team

The Candidate

In order to be successful in this role, you will need to enjoy working within a fast-paced sales environment where professionalism and a high levels of customer service are key to success.

As you will be taking an active role as a member of the sales team, you will need to have a flair for sales and enjoy working to targets and meeting sales goals.

Experience in the construction industry either in merchanting or distribution is advantageous along with the ability to work autonomously as well as working as part of a team.

Other skills required include:

  • Proven track record in a senior level positions
  • Strong knowledge of the construction supply chain  
  • Excellent communication skills and organisational skills
  • Ability to adapt quickly to a rapidly changing and highly competitive market
  • Attention to detail
  • Able to work using your own initiative within a demanding, target driven environment.
  • A clean driving licence
