Saint-Gobain UK & Ireland, leader in construction materials markets, has been certified as a Top Employer in the United Kingdom for the eighth consecutive year, and in Ireland for a fifth consecutive year.
The accolade is awarded annually by the Top Employers Institute, an independent organisation that annually audits companies to benchmark their standards regarding learning and development opportunities, career and succession, working conditions and the overall culture of the organisation.
Saint-Gobain has also been named a Global Top Employer for the fifth consecutive year. It is one of only 13 companies to have received this badge worldwide.
The Global Top Employer label is awarded to companies that have been certified in at least 20 countries and on several continents.
Mike Chaldecott, CEO of Saint-Gobain UK & Ireland, said: “I’m incredibly proud that Saint-Gobain UK & Ireland has been recognised as a Top Employer for the eighth year in a row, with our business in Ireland being certified for a fifth consecutive year.
“We strive to provide an open and engaging culture in which our employees can excel.
“Saint-Gobain is committed to developing its employees and creating a positive environment in which they can thrive. The accolade is also testament to our incredible colleagues who play their part in making our business a fantastic place to work and develop.”
At the end of 2018, Saint-Gobain launched its Transform and Grow strategy, which aims to respond to new challenges and opportunities being presented by a changing construction market. This has led to a new organisational structure that encourages a collaborative spirit among customers and staff, and places digital technologies at the heart of the business.
