Makita has expanded its portfolio of power tools with the new 1/2" pin detent DTW1004 18V LXT Impact Wrench.

Powered by a brushless motor, this tool combines power and efficiency for unparalleled performance on every job.

With a nut-busting torque of 1300Nm, Makita’s new DTW1004 18V LXT Impact Wrench delivers up to 2400 impacts per minute, 2000 rpm no load speed and 1050Nm in general fastening torque. A three-stage power selection feature allows users to tailor the RPM and fastening torque to suit the application. Yet despite this incredible power, the Makita DTW1004 does not produce high levels of vibration, allowing for extended periods of work without discomfort.

The tool is compatible with M12-M30 standard bolts as well as M16-M24 high tensile bolts and is equipped with a robust ½” (12.7mm) square driving shank with pin detent for exceptional socket retention.

The electric brake function rapidly stops rotation which could lead to unintended over tightening, damage to fasteners and workplace accidents. Meanwhile, other important features of this impressively powerful and versatile tool include a unique rubber joint system which increases the durability of the tool and battery terminals, twin LED job lights to illuminate work areas, and a durable hammer case for maximum reliability.

The DTW1004 comes with a range of accessories, including a belt hook and M4 screw as standard. Users can also purchase a series of optional extras such as drive impact sockets, drive deep impact sockets, drive extension bars, drive impact wrench chuck adaptors, and an impact wrench protective cover.

Matt Chilton, Product Manager at Makita UK commented: “Makita’s impact wrenches are designed to help make light work of tough tasks. The DTW1004 includes a host of performance and usability features making it an ideal and long-lasting addition to every toolkit.”
