A gala dinner for the Top 100 Plumbing & Heating Merchant Achievers raised £5,000 to support the work of its nominated charities: Variety, the Children’s Charity, and The Educational Frontier Trust (TEFT).

The event, co-organised by the BMF and Builders' Merchants News, took place at the Belfry Hotel last week, and celebrated the positive influence of 100 distinguished individuals from the plumbing and heating merchant sector, recognising their significant impact within their organisations, their community and the materials supply chain.

John Newcomb, BMF CEO said: “This is the fourth year the industry has come together to acknowledge those with the greatest influence in the building materials sector, with various groupings of merchants or suppliers honoured each year. This year’s celebration was attended by 160 people whose generosity helped us achieve another fantastic sum for our chosen charities.

"We extend our thanks to them, and our headline sponsor, NMBS, along with our other sponsors and everyone donating raffle and auction prizes that contributed to the evening’s success.”
