Global Stone Paving, the award-winning supplier of porcelain and stone paving, is reinforcing its commitment to sustainability and quality by introducing an innovative new packaging solution.

The new minimalist packaging consists of plastic corners that are made from recycled plastic and that are fully recyclable.  Each slab is printed with its product colour and batch number, making it clearly identifiable and much easier to trace.  The improved pallet design makes handling and transportation much easier for the distributor or merchant.

The new packaging is cardboard-less, meaning the packaging will remain intact during transportation and storage.  It also solves the problem of trying to identify the contents of packaging that has got wet and, for the installer, it means they don’t have to clean the cardboard off the slabs before laying them – or dispose of the packaging – making their job quicker and cleaner.

Nick Sharpe, Managing Director at Global Stone Paving, explains: “The new packaging really enhances the premium quality of our porcelain paving and shows off the craftsmanship that goes into our products.

“We also wanted to make life a little easier for our distributors and merchants, so, as well as looking good, it makes our products so much easier to handle and trace, rather than when they are wrapped in torn, often soggy cardboard.  And it looks much more professional and tidier for the installer when they are carrying out work for a client.

“At Global Stone, we are committed to meeting the highest standards of sustainability and environmental responsibility, and that includes ensuring that our products are ethically sourced and packed with care,” Nick concludes.

This new packaging solution will be applied to all Indian porcelain ranges across both Global Stone and Digby Stone brands from January 2025.
