BIRMINGHAM: Selco Builders Warehouse has appointed Helen Cooper to head up its marketing team as part of a strategic growth and customer development programme.

Ms Cooper joins Selco after almost seven years as marketing manager for Travis Perkins, responsible for the Travis Perkins merchant brand, tool and equipment hire and Keyline brands.

A Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) qualified professional, Ms Cooper has more than ten years' DIY retail and merchanting experience.

In this new role, Ms Cooper is responsible for leading the customer retention and growth strategy and supporting the continued expansion of the company's network. Based at Selco's head office in Kings Norton, Birmingham, Ms Cooper reports directly to managing director Chris Cunliffe.

Commenting on her appointment, Ms Cooper said: "This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing company and I'm looking forward to playing my role in shaping the future of Selco Builders Warehouse. Before joining Travis Perkins, Ms Cooper held positions at Focus DIY as well as working at the British Standards Institution, a timber treatment company, and in local government.
