Following the news that EZ-base UK, the product data management provider used by many in the engineering and industrial supply sectors, has ceased operations, NMBS is coming forward to support any businesses impacted by this news.

Over the years, EZ-base UK, based in Exeter, has played a vital role in providing accurate, consistent product data to its customers in the engineering and industrial sectors. With support from former employees at EZ-base UK, NMBS is engaging with impacted businesses to offer a transition to its own established product data and B2B marketplace platform, OnePlace.

Andy Hextall, Commercial Director at NMBS, said: “The news of EZ-base UK ceasing to trade will undoubtedly raise concerns for both manufacturers and merchants who relied on the platform for sharing and managing product data.

“We are working closely with Gareth Thomas, former Managing Director, Harrison Lloyd and Avelino Pereira, who are all former EZ-base UK employees, to ensure their previous customers have a trusted contact to support them throughout the transition to OnePlace.

“As a member-owned organisation, NMBS has a duty to support the independent sector through challenges like this. We are working closely with impacted businesses to ensure they retain access to the critical data they need to trade effectively and to prevent further instability within the market.”

Rex Nye, Digital Director at NMBS, added: “Now, more than ever, manufacturers and independent merchants need a robust platform they can trust. OnePlace is designed to do exactly that – offering a centralised platform, stability, scalability and support from a team that understands the independent market inside out.”

NMBS is urging any EZ-base UK customers to contact its team at oneplace@nmbs.co.uk for a fast-track onboarding process, with dedicated account management and technical assistance to ensure a smooth and timely transition.

Troy, which also went into administration earlier this year, had been in partnership with EZ-Base since 2020; becoming a shareholder in July 2024. The liquidation does not affect the Dutch arm of the company.
