The sell-out 2022 NMBS All-Industry Conference was finally held this weekend in the spectacular venue of Sorrento in Italy - and proved to be well worth the wait for all lucky delegates.
Held at the five-star Hilton Sorrento Palace Hotel, guests enjoyed stunning views of the Bay of Naples and the city of Sorrento during the event, which was initially planned for 2020 but pushed back two years due to Covid.
The theme ‘The Future Matters’, gave the highly absorbing Conference a particularly topical focus as the industry looked ahead to a much brighter future.
The business programme explored all things ‘technology, data and digital’ – areas that have seen significant development since the pandemic forced the industry to embrace new ways of working.
A variety of speakers spread out over two days examined how new innovations could be developed further to allow businesses to plan for the future, as well as how team development and productivity could boost the bottom line.
Sustainability was also a key theme and steps examined to make the industry greener and more eco-friendly in the wake of COP26 held at the end of 2021.
The host for the event was a lively David Meade, a world-class keynote speaker who has been inspiring conference audiences for more than 15 years, who also delivered a keynote speech on ensuring extraordinarily high performance even in challenging times.
The live coverage of the plenary sessions can be found on Builders’ Merchants News’ Twitter feed, while an in-depth report will feature in the July/August issue of BMN, published on 2 August.
During the event, John Newcomb also confirmed the dates and location of the BMF Conference 2023.
