Tim Wood, Editor of Builders' Merchants News, reflects on what the industry's leading trade magazine has offered over the past 12 months and looks forward to 2025.

On behalf of the entire Builders' Merchants News team, I would like to take this opportunity to thank our thousands of readers, our advertisers and our sponsors for their unwavering support during the past 12 months.

Your magnificent backing has contributed to ten issues of Builders Merchants News, three supplements, two Builders' Merchants Awards brochures – launching the event and displaying the winners – and a souvenir brochure highlighting the Top 100 Young Achievers.

The coming year is primed to be even bigger with three supplements – focusing on Timber, IT (especially AI), and renewables – and the annual BMBI Round Table, as well as the Top 100 Plumbing & Heating Merchant Achievers at The Belfry on 24 April, and the Builders' Merchants Awards at the Park Plaza Westminster on Friday 28 November.

Moving swiftly on. There will also be unrivalled coverage of every Builders Merchants Federation and NMBS events – we are media partners of the BMF conference and the NMBS.

Details of the many events throughout 2025 feature in the BMN Year Planner (in support of the Pavestone Rally) that was posted out with the November/December issue. Again, thank you to all companies that supported this; all slots were snapped up straight away.
