The new centre will not only serve local merchants and contractors but also act as a distribution hub for fellow h&b merchant members.

Markovitz continues its ambitious plans to expand its drylining and insulation distribution operation, with the opening of its largest depot yet, a 55,000 sq. ft. hub in Warrington servicing the northwest of England and North Wales.

The new centre will not only serve local merchants and contractors but also act as a distribution hub for fellow h&b merchant members, ensuring continuity of supply of these vital products for businesses in the region.

From a standing start in 2019, the Markovitz drylining and insulation division now trades from nine depots, covering 90% of the UK, from the Highlands of Scotland to Cornwall, with further branches planned.

“This new super depot represents a real step up for the Markovitz insulation and drylining distribution business, and a landmark in our ambitious plans to grow the operation,” said Markovitz Insulation and Dry Lining Managing Director Mike Davies.

“The Division has trebled in size since 2020 and we are looking for substantial growth in 2022. Our national coverage network will help ensure security of supply in the key insulation sector for our customers across the UK."

h&b’s Trading Director Jamie Wyatt added: “The system we now operate as a group shows perfectly how collaboration and cooperation help independent merchants to continue to serve and assist their customers to the highest standards.”
