The Isle of Man merchant posted a message on its Facebook page announcing its closure.
The social media post sets the closing date for 15 November, and site the owner's wish to retire as a reason for the move.
The message continues: "We would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our fantastic staff and customers for their hard work and loyalty over the last 44 years.
"We can also confirm that an agreement in principle has been reached with a third party who intends to continue trading from our sites and would hope that this process will be as seamless as possible.
"Watch this space for further announcements."
According to its website the busines is already a reincarnation of an older one - Quine Bro’s, Builders Ltd - with a 100-year history, which was lately run by Mac Quine, the father of the current female owners, until his own retirement around 1980.
Overtime the business opened a second branch with both branches supplying trade or retail customers. The business is a member of the NMBS.
