The campaign will see each of MKM’s 100 branches carry out a good deed locally.
MKM’s ethos of playing a significant role in the community has ramped up a gear with the launch of its ‘100 Good Deeds’ campaign.
Introduced to celebrate the major milestone of opening its 100th this year, the ‘100 Good Deeds’ campaign will see each of MKM’s 100 branches carry out a good deed locally.
Nicola Ollett, MKM’s Head of Marketing, said: “It’s really important to MKM and our staff that we support local good causes and give back to the communities where we have branches, employ staff and serve customers.
“These local acts of kindness will include anything from supporting charities that are close to the hearts of our people, supplying materials for community schemes, or dedicating time to local projects that are making a real difference.”
MKM already supports hundreds of amazing causes across the UK, from charities and trusts, to sports teams and community projects.
“It’s about making a positive impact and difference to the areas where our staff and customers live and work,” added Ollett.
“We’ve been at the heart of the community ever since we opened our first branch in Hull, in 1995. As the business has grown from one to 100 branches, this commitment and dedication hasn’t changed.
“We obviously couldn’t do this without the brilliant staff we have at each branch, and that’s why we are delighted to be launching our ‘100 Good Deeds’ campaign.”
MKM’s business model of each branch being run independently ensures that decisions to support charities and projects are made at a local level, by the local MKM team that know their area best.
The sheer number of good deeds being carried out include supporting local food banks, hospices, primary schools, the air ambulance, children’s and health related charities, the RNLI and community trusts.
