Hellermann Tyton has appointed John Banks to spearhead its identification product portfolio, which includes cable and wire labelling, asset identification and thermal transfer printers.
Taking up the role of identification product manager, Mr Banks joins from Unipart Rail where he held the position of infrastructure sales manager, handling key multi-million pound accounts. Mr Banks’ appointment sees him return to HellermannTyton for a second spell, having spent several years in business development for the mass transit rail and aerospace industries.
Commenting on his return to HellermannTyton, Mr Banks explained: “This new role combines elements of sales and customer relationships while also giving me the chance to oversee marketing and product design, which attracted me to the job. We have a number of innovative product launches and over the coming months I’ll also be taking a look at RFID and other development areas, within rail and transport as well as the construction and electrical contracting sectors. It’s an exciting time to be back at the company.”
Ric Kynnersley, commercial director of HellermannTyton, added: “John joins at a time when we are looking to expand our range of products for identification, as accurate labelling and documentation become ever-more critical in industry. With his existing knowledge of the company and his expertise in key market sectors, we’re confident that John can assist in driving growth and developing the products our customers need.”
