Filstorage has appointed Craig Jackman and Phil Hatch to the roles of Regional Account Manager, covering the south east and the north east, respectively.
Jackman brings a vast array of experience to the role, having started his career at Vodafone, providing mobile phone solutions.
He joined the storage and racking industry five years ago after taking a role at Anco Storage, where he worked as a supplier to Filstorage.
Hatch also brings experience from a range of sectors to Filstorage, including tool and plant hire, materials handling equipment, and racking solutions for the builders merchant and logistics industries. He is replacing Gary Winter who retired last year after almost a decade with the company; something he describes as having ‘big shoes to fill’.
“I cover a big patch, from Newcastle down to Leicester and west to Halifax area,” Hatch said.
“Presently, I’m working my way around that patch to let people know Gary is no longer with the business and I’m their point of contact.
“I’ve worked merchant-side in the plant hire division of some the biggest names in the industry, so this feels like my natural territory.
“It’s going well so far and I’ve already secured some orders.”
Jackman, who covers an area south of the Thames including South London, Surrey, Hampshire, Kent and parts of Dorset, thinks that, with all the development going in the South East, there were a lot of opportunities for the Yorkshire business.
He said: “I’ve spend the past five years building my knowledge and a customer base in London and the South East which is going to be hugely valuable in my new role.
“I worked closely with Filstorage as a customer when I was at Anco and I’m really excited to be joining their team.”
Mike Gorman, Sales Director at Filstorage, welcomed Jackman and Hatch to the business, saying: “Both Craig and Phil are excellent appointments, bringing experience in the builders merchant sector other industries to the business.
“The North East is an important region for us and Gary has served that region extremely well. So whereas we’ll all miss him, we’re confident Phil will do an excellent job building on what he achieved.
“Craig has a great knowledge of the Sout East so will be a huge asset in that region. His experience in racking and storage solutions should help us to add a great deal of value to our client experience.”
