A J W Painting Contractors volunteered to redecorate areas of White Lodge which offers crucial support to over 2,500 disabled people, their families and carers.
A team of Dulux Select Decorators has played an instrumental role in helping a charity that supports children and adults with disabilities in Surrey to repaint its respite facility.
Jason Webb of A J W Painting Contractors, a member of the Dulux Select Decorator scheme, volunteered to redecorate areas of White Lodge in Chertsey, which offers crucial support to over 2,500 disabled people, their families and carers.
A small team of other painting professionals from the 575-strong community of Dulux Select Decorators came together and pitched in to complete the work.
Dulux Decorator Centre also donated all the paint needed to complete the project to the highest standard.
Jeremy Woodhall, White Lodge Facilities Coordinator, said: “We are so grateful as the difference we can make to the disabled community is just not possible without support like this”.
Webb added: “White Lodge does such great work and provides a lifeline for many disabled people and their families who live in the area. It was an honour to support the charity by helping it to redecorate its Treetops site.”
The Dulux Select Decorators scheme, which celebrates its 25th anniversary this year, comprises more than 575 experienced decorators who have passed a comprehensive workmanship assessment, with Dulux guaranteeing their work for two years after completion.
Professional decorators can only apply to join the scheme once they’ve been a painter and decorator for three years and have run a successful business for at least a year, ensuring that Dulux is carefully selecting from the best in the trade.
