The Bathroom Showroom at City Plumbing has made its virtual design appointment service permanent, helping busy tradespeople make their customer’s dream bathroom a reality.

Born out of the pandemic when showrooms were closed to the public, The Bathroom Showroom set out to offer virtual appointments on a temporary basis but soon discovered their popularity among tradespeople and their customers alike. Following a trial during summer 2021, the business has now launched the service nationally, giving customers the chance to speak with an expert either online or in-person from a choice of over 260 UK showrooms.

Parv Sangera, Managing Director of The Bathroom Showroom at City Plumbing, said: “While the pandemic was a difficult time for many businesses, it also allowed many the opportunity to take a step back and reflect on the way they do business.

“For us, particularly at a time when the demand for home improvements was high, virtual appointments meant that we could conveniently deliver what our customers wanted while adhering to social distancing and at a time and a place that suited them.

“It wasn’t long before we realised that customers were finding real convenience in appointments outside of our usual hours and from the comfort of their own homes.

“We realise that tradespeople and their own customers are pressed for time, and we are pleased our new virtual appointments can offer more flexibility in how they access expert advice, inspiring CAD drawings and a wide range of leading products.”

The Bathroom Showroom’s virtual appointments are available between 8.00 am and 9.30 pm Monday to Friday, 9.00 am to 6.30 pm on Saturdays and from 10.00 am to 6.30 pm on Sundays.

Installers are advised to recommend that their customers open an inspiration account where they can collate images into a mood board in preparation for their appointment and make the decision-making process easier.
