Anna Leach, Deputy Chief Economist, will provide insights into the state of the UK economy.
Anna Leach, Deputy Chief Economist at the Confederation of British Industry, will provide insights into the state of the UK economy, following a video introduction by CBI Chief Economist, Rain Newton-Smith, at the BMF Members Conference on 23 September 2021.
Leach heads the economic intelligence team which produces and analyses the CBI’s economic surveys and provides the CBI’s macroeconomic forecast. She joined the CBI in 2008 and moved on to head the economic analysis team in 2012 where she leads on the CBI’s assessment of near-term economic conditions.
Before this Leach worked in the Government Economic Service and at the Department for Work and Pensions. She also undertook a secondment to the Treasury Select Committee to work on its inquiry into the private equity industry and its early inquiries at the start of the financial crisis.
