Job Description

  • Accountable for the financial and non-financial performance of your branch.
  • Implementing the agreed company strategy for your branch.
  • Managing and coaching sales strategies to achieve sales & gross profit targets while also improving customer loyalty.
  • Protecting and growing the brand awareness of the company in the marketplace.
  • Ensuring your branch operates to the highest Health and Safety Standards and regulations (you will be supported by our head of operations and external HSE advisor).

Skills

  • A proven and successful track record supervising or managing a builders merchants branch
  • Good industry knowledge of the building trade and associated products.
  • A proven track record of successfully implementing sales strategies that grow sales and gross profit performance
  • Good customer service and relationships with key suppliers and employees.
  • Experience dealing with a broad cross section of customer types such as trade, retail, house builders, contractors, local authorities etc.
  • Natural leadership skills that your colleagues respect and want to follow.
  • Knowledge of using Microsoft 365 and ERP systems.
