The Building Cost Information Service has appointed Richard Linstead as CEO.

Linstead, who has been with the business for two years in his role as Chief Product and Technology Officer, brings more than 25 years of experience in leading product, commercial and technology across fintech, media and professional services. He has already played a vital role in delivering technology and process improvements to enhance customer experience and business operations at BCIS.

The extended board and leadership team, led by Linstead, will continue to strengthen BCIS’s position as the leading independent provider of construction and carbon data to the built environment and insurance sectors, through both organic and acquisitive growth.

Linstead said: “BCIS occupies a special place within the UK built environment ecosystem. It’s an organisation with a rich heritage, built on data integrity and deep contextual expertise - and a focus on supporting the whole industry to grow.

“I’m looking forward to leading this exceptional team in evolving our existing platforms and services, while developing innovative new data products and tools to further improve the user experience and offering for our customers.”
