Alsford Timber & Builders' Merchant has announced the appointment of Justin Hood to the newly created role of Strategic Growth Director.
The creation of this new role follows a period of significant investment in the business, including the ongoing estate revitalisation program, the addition of a CNC machine, introduction of specialised drylining services, and enhancements to its fleet.
Managing Director Neil Fuller stated: “We are always positioning Alsford for the future, and we are pleased to announce Justin Hood’s transition from Operations Director, to the role of Strategic Growth Director.
“This position will be pivotal in putting clear focus on new projects at our Mill in Erith, improving efficiencies and enhancing our B2B service offerings.”
Alongside Hood's appointment, Mark Smith, Branch Supervisor of Alsford Leatherhead, has also been promoted to Area Manager (West), and will oversee a cluster of nine branches, and Steven Cowling, Timber Category Manager, increases the scope of his role to become Head of Forest Products, based at the Alsford Mill in Erith, Kent.
“This new operational structure is designed to better align our resources with our ambitions, ensuring we can continue to meet and exceed our customers' expectations,” Fuller added. “We are excited about the opportunities ahead and remain dedicated to delivering exceptional service and quality products to all of our customers.”
