Navien is celebrating the sales performance of its LCB700 Blue Flame oil boilers in 2021, which saw the company achieve outstanding results and continue to lead the way in blue flame technology.
Navien only manufactures oil boilers employing blue flame burner technology, ensuring its range maintains the highest standards of energy efficiency and performance, especially when compared to inferior and inefficient yellow flame alternatives.
Renowned by installers and end users alike, Navien already produces and sells over 200,000 oil boilers per year globally. Its blue flame units have established themselves among industry professionals for boasting efficiencies up to 104%, as well as ultra-low NOx emissions of only 57mg/kWh – making the LCB700 the only domestic oil boiler capable of achieving an ErP A+ energy rating.
Commenting on the natural evolution of oil boilers, Jason Davies, National Business Manager at Navien, said: “We’re obviously delighted with the performance of our LCB700 Blue Flame oil boilers in 2021. It’s testament to their high levels of quality and efficiency that oil installers are embracing these products nationwide. However, we’re not going to rest on our laurels, especially as the industry looks towards achieving net-zero carbon emissions by 2050. That’s why we’ve developed our LCB700 Blue Flame range to be HVO-ready, which puts us in a great position as the UK moves towards decarbonising heating systems.”
With 1.5 million UK properties reliant on oil-fired heating systems, the company has researched into the alternative fuel sources available; with hydrotreated Vegetable Oil (HVO) emerging as the sustainable option of choice, Navien has ensured all its oil boilers can be adapted to use it, without compromising energy efficiency or performance.
Jason continued: “As HVO is a second-generation biofuel that uses hydrogen during its production, it looks set to play a key role in helping home heating systems make the necessary transition during the coming years. Off-grid homes will still be reliant upon energy efficient and economical oil heating systems, so we’ve futureproofed our range accordingly – a fact we’ll be highlighting to our customers throughout the next 12 months.”
Available as either a regular, system or combi boiler, in both internal and external models, the highly efficient LCB700 Blue Flame is also lightweight (with lift weights from only 67kg), easy to handle and optimised for simple, fast and cost-effective installation.
Each boiler benefits from a full text-driven, smart control panel; this adds aesthetic appeal, while being simple to program and use. This is supplemented by a built-in ‘Intelligent Mode’ – a self-learning function that monitors DHW usage, ensuring there is always ample hot water available for an end user’s daily routine.
Plus, from a controllability perspective, the LCB700 Blue Flame boiler can be operated in conjunction with Navien’s Smart Plus controllers to further raise a heating system’s effectiveness and efficiency to ErP A+. Not only do the controls monitor oil consumption, they regulate the heating in response to changes in the outside temperature, by monitoring the forecast on OpenWeatherMap. Connecting the oil boiler to a smartphone also enables full geofencing capabilities, turning the heating system on (or off) depending on an occupant’s distance from their property.
