Bassetts, a bathroom, heating and tile merchant based in Northern Ireland, has opened a new branch in Belfast to bring its total branch network in the region to 14.

The new trade branch in West Belfast is based on a 'self-select' model, offering a full range of plumbing and heating products from bathrooms, showers and tiles through to radiators and boilers.

Bassetts has almost tripled in size in the last five years, growing from an initial five branches. It currently employs over 100 people and has created a number of new jobs in the new Belfast branch.

Stephen Bassett, managing director of Bassetts, said: "I'm delighted to announce the opening of our new branch in West Belfast. There is no doubt that the expansion to 14 branches strengthens our leadership in the plumbing and heating market in Northern Ireland. We have always prided ourselves in our trade relationships and ability to meet the needs of our customers. The new branch is another move to further cement our trade relationships, enabling installers in West Belfast and beyond to conveniently access our wide range of products."

Bassetts also has branches in Belfast, Coleraine, Downpatrick, Dungannon, Lisburn, L’derry, Mallusk, Greencastle, Newry, Portadown, Omagh and Letterkenny. The company was founded in 1978 and is headquartered in Portadown.
