Timber merchant Arnold Laver has taken delivery of a new DAF CF2 6x2 rigid truck and the Palfinger F3 253 GT-S combination from Bennett Engineering. The new vehicles will enable the company to deliver a wide range of goods to the trade.

Arnold Laver's group operations manager, Debbie Jones, said: "The Palfinger, with a lift capacity of 2,500kg and a lift height of 3,700mm, is ideal for the delivery of any of the vast range of products we have. With a ground clearance of 300mm, off-road deliveries are not a problem. In particular, this will enhance our service offer for the distribution of doors and door-sets, meaning we can provide our customers with an easy and managed process from ordering right through to site delivery."

Ms Jones added: "Bennett Engineering has organised everything - the purchasing process was trouble-free and they even came to us to carry out the training that we needed."

The Arnold Laver business has grown nationally from its beginnings in Heeley, Sheffield, and supplied over 50% of the timber and timber-based products required during the London 2012 Olympic Games.
