Knauf Insulation participated in the 16th London construction industry dragon boat challenge to raise money for CRASH, the charity for homeless people.

The challenge took place at Stoke Newington West Reservoir Centre in London on 26 June with over 40 teams competing in the 200m race. Balfour Beatty were crowned overall champions.

Business development director at Knauf Insulation Graham Boyd said: "As a patron of CRASH, we thought this was a great opportunity to take part in such a fun but challenging event to raise money for a charity that provides excellent support to those who have experienced the affects of being homeless.

“Although we were knocked out in the heats, CRASH raised over a staggering £28,000, which is absolutely fantastic!”

Amy Hunt, CRASH fundraising & events manager said: “We cannot thank everyone enough for making this year’s Construction Industry Dragon Boat Festival such an amazing success.

“The generosity shown for the industry’s charity by all those who took part in the racing and those who made donations. This money will make a real difference to the lives of homeless men and women throughout the UK. Thank you.”
