BSS Industrial supports local charity's eco heating solution

Published:  02 July, 2014

BSS Industrial has successfully supported a project to provide eco-friendly and energy-efficient heating solutions to a charity in East Sussex, whose sites includes a school, community buildings and a social enterprise.

The Maidstone branch of BSS has installed a wood-fired boiler for the charity, which has a source of timber from its own forest.

Ged Hunter, branch manager of BSS Industrial Maidstone, said: “Our client required a solution that was not only efficient but effective, meeting the demand of two accommodation blocks as well as existing community facilities which led to peak demands on the heating and hot water supply.

"The wood-fired Viessmann boiler is an incredibly efficient model, which enables them to even burn wet chips if needed. The result is undoubtedly one of the best heating systems of its type.”
