Mike Phillips has been appointed as the new managing director of Marleton Cross, which trades as the MX Group from its headquarters in Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire.
Mr Phillips brings a broad range of business skills and experience to MX Group - most recently in the food logistics sector.
Included in his role, he has been tasked with continuing and building still further on the manufacturing improvement programme underway at MX, to support the significant growth of the business seen in recent years. The business has grown through acquisition and year-on-year organic growth and continues to undertake much of its manufacturing in the UK.
Welcoming Mr Phillips to his role, chairman Bernard Robinson, said: “It is vital that we continue to invest in new production, distribution and marketing techniques to continue to meet the demands of our customers. Mike brings the right experience and skills to the business to help us make significant strides forward in the years ahead. I’d like to go on record to thank Guy Maling for his invaluable contributions to the group over many years.”
