mhs homes has achieved a five-star rating in the British Safety Council’s Occupational Health and Safety Audit.

Awarded on 7 April, this audit involved a detailed and objective evaluation of the housing association’s occupational health and safety management systems, measuring performance against a number of key safety management indicators.

Employee wellbeing, safety culture, allocation of resources to health and safety and planning for change are all considered important best-practice factors.

“Everyone at mhs homes is thrilled with our score of 96.69% overall,” said Phillip Firmin, health and safety manager. “In particular, our approach to compliance, inspections and monitoring was highlighted as a key strength. This result demonstrates our ongoing commitment to health and safety in relation to our staff, partners, customers and the local community.”
