New director of PSS Hire

Published:  20 March, 2014

PSS Hire has appointed Mark Hamilton as its new director.

The appointment comes after PSS’ acquisition by A-Plant, the plant, tool and specialist equipment hire company.

Mr Hamilton joins PSS Hire from Balfour Beatty Utility Solutions, where he held the position of head of plant and logistics services. He has a track record in both sales and operational roles, with over 15 years’ experience in senior leadership positions.

At PSS Hire, he will be responsible for leading the company at a strategic level, focusing his efforts on the company’s product offering and further market expansion across the gas, water and electricity sectors.

“It’s an incredibly exciting time to be joining PSS Hire soon after its acquisition,” said Mr Hamilton. “With the financial backing from A-Plant, I am looking forward to exploring new opportunities for PSS products, developing our customer base and driving the expansion of our depot network.”

A-Plant’s chief executive Sat Dhaiwal added: “Mark brings a great depth of knowledge and experience of working with the gas, water and Electricity Sectors. He has an extensive background in dealing with plant hirers, procurement teams and the supply chain as a whole, both in the UK and overseas. He will be a great asset to the PSS business.”
