Selco celebrates a sports sponsorship hat trick

Selco Builders Warehouse has extended its deal to be the title sponsor of the Birmingham Brummies Speedway team for 2014. The company will also continue as main sponsors of the London Broncos Rugby League team, on top of backing the football predictor competition in conjunction with talkSPORT.

“We have an extremely strong sports sponsorship portfolio and we are very proud of it,” said Chris Cunliffe, chief executive officer at Selco. “Rugby League and Speedway are great sports that the whole family can enjoy at good value for money. Having worked with both the Broncos and Brummies over the last two years, we are delighted to be extending our agreement with both clubs for 2014.

“On top of that, the £1m Selco Predictor with talkSPORT enables us to enjoy excellent brand exposure in a sector which is hugely popular with our target audience.”

Helen Cooper, marketing director, added: “Sports sponsorship is an important part of our customer communications, reminding and reinforcing the Selco brand to our customers.”

Birmingham Brummies will be hoping to emulate last season, which saw them finish top of the Elite League table at the end of the regular season and reach the Grand Final. Meanwhile, it’s a bright new era for the London Broncos with a new-look squad preparing for the Super League campaign following a move from the Twickenham Stoop to The Hive in Barnet.
