Builder David Richardson, a regular customer at MKM in North Hykeham, Lincoln, has won a £15,000 Ford Transit 2.2tdci van in a national competition run by building materials company Hanson.
The van was the top prize in the competition, which ran at roadshows held at national and independent builders’ merchants across the country to support the launch of Multicem cement in plastic, waterproof packaging. The development means that the product can be stored outside, freeing up valuable space in branch for merchants.
Mr Richardson said: “I am absolutely delighted to have won the van. I have used Multicem for years as it is a great multi-purpose cement and it’s even better in plastic – particularly with the weather we are experiencing. To come away with the van was fantastic. It has a huge load capacity and will help me provide a more reliable service to my customers.”
