Coomers raises money for bereaved children’s charity

Published:  05 February, 2014

Coomers presented children’s charity Winston's Wish with £3,246.65 on 30 January, and thanks customers and staff from its Bordon, Oakhanger and Haslemere branches for helping raise such an impressive sum.

Each year Coomers chooses a charity and Winston’s Wish was the company’s charity for 2013. Much of the funds were raised through sponsorships when staff participated in the Great South Run in 2013. Funds also came from in-store collections, at the charity Golf Day, and when staff from the Bordon branch and the Chocolate Frog Company in Oakhanger grew moustaches in November.

In 2014, Coomers will be supporting Chainreaction at the Kingsley Centre. Chainreaction has been established at the Kingsley Centre for 25 years and provides personal development for disabled people, supporting them to make choices and take control of their lives.

Thanks to the support of customers and staff, Coomers has raised over £11,000 for nominated charities since 2010.
