Wolseley UK has appointed Keith Dorling to the newly created position of Burdens managing director.

A member of the Wolseley UK Leadership Team, Mr Dorling will focus on delivering Burdens’ ambitious growth plans and fulfilling its objective of becoming a market leader in below-ground drainage for the civils and utilities markets.

He also has a proven track record of driving market expansion and delivering impressive revenue growth for the businesses he has led, most recently at Interserve, the FTSE 250 engineering and support services company, where he was managing director, civil government.

Steve Ashmore, managing director at Wolseley UK, said: “With the foundations now in place at Burdens, the business deserves a leader fully dedicated to it. This will best position us to deliver our growth agenda and ensure we can take advantage of the exciting opportunities we believe will emerge in the future.”

Mr Dorling is to join the business on 17 February 2014.
